New jewelry making hobby

So I have recently started following youtube tutorials on jewelry making... I love to crochet and I came across a video on crocheted wire necklace and decided to try it, here are a few examples of what I did.

Reading my Nook

Well it's Monday night, blah... I have to go to work tomorrow which sucks.  I get up at 430 a.m. to open the store at 530.  Sometimes I hate living in the country... everyone is a good ole' boy out here who gets up before the chickens so that means so do I.  I recently received my newly refurbished nook back from Barnes and Nobles.  My first one fell asleep and i couldn't wake it up... silly sleeping beauty.  Oh how i've missed it.  It is the only thing that keeps me sane at work... Right now I am re-reading the twilight saga... one of my first purchases when I got my nook for Christmas from my wonderful husband last year.  My pup Rocky says hi, he just shoved his head up under my arm as i am typing... He's a pain in the butt, but ya gotta love him.  Christmas is getting closer and closer... haven't gotten many gifts yet... It just doesn't feel like it's time... plus I don't make that much so once i get groceries and household items there's only a little money left over for gas in my car.  I think everyone is going to get hand made crafts this year.  I've got my eyes open for some plain glass ball ornaments that I could paint... personalize them ya know!  I think that would be a nice gift... I might have to settle for plastic ones because that's all i seem to be able to find.  Well... I gotta jump in the shower and get my stuff together for work tomorrow... blah... anyway, g'nite all!

Just sitting here with my dog.

Well, this is the first time I ever blogged... I've been needing an outlet lately for my thoughts so I decided to give this a whorl.  My dog Rocky, who is about a year and a half old, half golden retriever, half border collie is poking his nose under my arm right now trying to get some attention.  He always bugs me when I'm on the computer... actually he just bugs me all the time lol!  My hubby Kevin is probably leaving work right now... he works about an hour or so away from home... and when he works over time he doesn't get home until after 9 at night.  It sucks but this day and age any little money He can make extra really helps.  Like right now instead of turning up the furnace I have my new best friend with me.  A little 10 dollar heater I bought at walmart.  It is fantastic!  I carry it around with me all over the house whenever I am at home.  I haven't been to work yet this week... actually since Friday.  I work at a local gas station/country store and My boss said he didn't need me til this Friday, so here I am.  Bored... blahhh... I guess I could be cleaning the house or something... hmmm.... nah i'd rather sit here and type or read my nook.  I should also be crocheting, i'm making home made christmas gifts this year... but i should have started earlier, lol.  Now i'm under pressure to get them all done... oh well.  These past few years i've started to hate christmas anyway... I'm alway so worried about money and presents that I can't enjoy any of it... and we are always rushing around like crazy to relatives houses... I think if we had kids, or a child that it would make it mean more.  I wish that we did something to create memories instead of stress.
       So I talked to this old guy in walmart today who told me how to get birds to eat out of my hand... i swear i meet the most interesting people.  He does it all the time he told me, and he has a special chicadee friend who will come to the window and scratch at the screen for him to come out... he holds the seeds in his hands and she sits there and pecks through them trying to find what she wants... then she finds two seeds, not just one like all the other birds, and flies away.  He says he bets it's a female because she takes her time "shopping" and gets two instead of one because it's such a good deal!  I thought it was cute...
    I've been working on a sort of wall mural the past day or so... but i'm not liking how it's turning out... we have peacock blue walls and i took some white paint and have started painting a tree going up the one side... but all the branches are going towards the left, like the wind blew them that way... with silver leaves.  anyway i'm not sure if i like it.... but after all this work i'd hate to just paint over it... i guess i'll just keep working on it til i'm satisfied... which an artist never is!
